Stephen started his career as a commis at One Devonshire Gardens, where he met Andrew Fairlie. He joined Andrew at Gleneagles in 1994 and they worked together for 17 years. In 2006 Restaurant Andrew Fairlie became one of only eleven UK restaurants to be awarded two Michelin stars and was voted one of the world's top ten 'Greatest Hotel Restaurants' by US Hotel magazine.
