How to Keep your Knives Sharp

In this video you will learn how to keep an edge on a knife. There are two methods you can use, both have the same outcome, so just work with whatever is easiest for you!

For the first method, angles are everything. Oh, and remember to sharpen the whole blade, not just the tip.

For the second method, facing both the steel and knife upwards (the guard will protect your hand from any slips) draw the blade from front to back. Repeat this for three or four strokes and the job is done!

Most importantly, when you have finished sharpening, take a cloth and wipe the blade clean to remove any loose steel fillings… you don’t want that transferred to the food!
